Student Ambassador Council

This council was created as a vehicle for the students to take more ownership in the Powered By ME! program. Each year, we have a tremendously successful Student Athlete Conference. Our goal for this council is to give its members the opportunity, and the resources to spread the message of the program to their fellow students who were not able to attend.

What is this Student Ambassador Council?

This council was created as a vehicle for the students to take more ownership in the Powered By ME! program. Each year, we have a tremendously successful Student Athlete Conference. Our goal for this council is to give its members the opportunity, and the resources to spread the message of the program to their fellow students who were not able to attend.

How will Student Ambassador Council members be chosen?

Interested students should be viewed as leaders in your school-students who make wise decisions and empower others in a positive way. Students will be notified if they are selected.

What is the time commitment of the Student Ambassador?

Ambassadors can dedicate as much time as they feel is needed to spread the message of the program to their fellow students. However, it is suggested that the ambassador dedicates between 25 and 50 hours over the school year. This averages about 2 1/2- 5 hours per month. Educational materials and some strategies will be provided. It is our expectation that ambassadors embrace the opportunity, show leadership and develop creative ways to spread the program’s message.

Why be a member of the Student Ambassador Council?

By being a Student Ambassador, you will be given the opportunity to communicate, educate and further develop your leadership skills. You will be collaborating with Powered By ME! staff members and executive committee members to further develop the Powered By ME! program. Involvement in a program such as this is a great addition to a college application as well.
